ffffffffexppoexppoInterest in conferencing, digital signage, and 3D drove a 10 percent surge in attendance at InfoComm this year, stated Betsy Jaffee, director of public relations at InfoComm.

Despite the current economic conditions, InfoComm 2010—the annual conference and expo for professional AV buyers and sellers held June 9-11 in Las Vegas—was the second largest commercial AV show ever held. 32,002 AV professionals attended from more than 90 countries.

“InfoComm continues to be the one tradeshow where most professional AV service providers make their important buying decisions for the year,” said Randal A. THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT

Epson unveiled their PowerLite S9 projector featuring 2500 ANSI lumens and SVGA (800 x 600) resolution. Epson has fitted this classroom projector with features including Plug n Play, Closed Captioning, and added connectivity. The S9 also comes with a 1.35x digital zoom as well as keystone correction. NEW LOUDSPEAKERS
Electro-Voice is launching additions to its EV-Innovation family of installation-dedicated loudspeakers. The new EVA, EVF, and EVH models are enhanced by DVX and SMX woofers and the new DH7N neodymium compression driver. The EVA-SG2 and EVA-EG2 grids allow EVA subwoofers to be arrayed with full-range elements. MULTI-LAYER MIXER AND SWITCHER

IPHONE/IPAD APP

The Power2 features two balanced line level inputs, each with gain control, and master gain control. AUDIO PROCESSING SYSTEM
Lectrosonics announces that the first three models in the company’s ASPEN line of DSP matrix audio processors are now shipping: the SPN1624 matrix mixer, the SPN16i input-only module, and the SPNConference telephone hybrid unit for teleconferencing. Employing proprietary algorithms developed by Lectrosonics and the latest in high-speed DSP hardware, the new ASPEN series features include TCP/IP control over Ethernet, unlimited input expandability, real-time clock, 48-channel matrix bus, 1 Gbps expansion port, and true 48-Volt phantom powering for all inputs. Marshall Electronics' new line of Professional Series USB microphones has been released. AUTOMATIC MIXING CONTROLLER
Dan Dugan Sound Design releases the E-1 Automatic Mixing Controller, which detects which microphones are being used and makes fast, transparent cross-fades. This technology frees the operator to focus on balance and sound quality instead of having to pay constant attention to the faders. The E-1 Automatic Mixing Controller is Dugan’s economy model. Rather than using a physical control panel such as that in the Model D-Series, the Model E-1 downloads a Java-driven remote control panel to the user's web browser. DIGITAL CONSOLE
In response to requests for Macintosh support by its Mac user customer base, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems announces the availability of Mac-compatible versions of M7CLv3 Editor and LS9 Editor for Yamaha M7CL and LS9 digital sound reinforcement consoles. The Network-MIDI Driver feature has been redesigned specifically to allow M7CLv3 and LS9 consoles to talk directly to Mac computers. The Network-MIDI Driver assumes the role of the DME-N Network Driver used on Windows platforms.
